When properly fitted to your pooch, this should be snug but not too tight, it forms a loop around the muzzle, crosses under the chin, and extends upward on both sides of the head, eventually meeting at the top behind your dog's ears. If your pooch starts to pull this ends up pulling there head downwards which is uncomfortable & weakens there pulling strength with giving you the control with easily turning and stopping your pooch.
